RN1 and RN3 indoor high-voltage current limiting fuses are used for overload and short circuit protection of power lines. The so-called circuit is the function of a fuse to cut off the short-circuit current before it reaches its peak. RN2 indoor high-voltage current limiting fuse is used for short-circuit protection of voltage transformers, with a breaking capacity of 10002MVA. During a short circuit, momentary disconnection should be carried out by limiting the line current to the minimum value, and the fusing current should be within the range of 0.6~1.8A within 1 minute.

Product Structural features:

A fuse is composed of two pillar insulators, a contact base, a fuse tube, a base plate, and other four parts. The post insulator is installed on the base plate, the contact seat is fixed on the post insulator, and the fuse tube is fixed in the contact seat, but the copper caps at both ends are wound on the porcelain tube. According to the rated current, the fuse in the fuse tube is wound onto the prismatic core (with the rated current less than 7.5A) with one or more fuses or directly installed in the tube in a circular spiral shape (with the rated current greater than 7.5A) and then filled with quartz sand. The copper caps at both ends are pressed with end caps, Secure with tin to maintain sealing.

When the overload current or short circuit current passes, the fuse will fuse immediately, and an arc will be generated at the same time. The quartz sand will immediately extinguish the arc. When the fuse is fused, the pull wire of the spring will also fuse at the same time and pop out of the spring, which indicates that the fuse has completed its task.

Melt tube structure

The melt tube is the main part of the fuse. It is made of fuse wires installed in the porcelain tube, filled with quartz sand in the parallel porcelain tube, and sealed at both ends. Melt tubes with a rated current below 7.5A and a rated voltage of 35V have their fuses wound around a specially made ceramic core, and melt tubes with a rated current above 7.5A; Its fuse is suspended in a porcelain tube

Usage conditions:

RN1, RN3 and RN2 indoor quartz sand filled fuses are applicable to:

(1) The altitude shall not exceed 1000 meters.

(2) The temperature of the surrounding medium shall not be higher than+40 ℃ and not lower than -40 ℃.

RN1 and RN3 type fuses cannot operate in the following environments:

(1) Indoor places with a relative humidity greater than 95%.

(2) Some places with explosive hazards due to burning goods.

(3) Places with severe vibrations, oscillations, or impacts.

(4) Areas with an altitude exceeding 2000 meters.

(5) Air pollution areas and special humid areas.

(6) Special locations (such as for X-ray devices)
