The Dawan Offshore Wind Farm Project is located in the southern waters of my country, with a planned total installed capacity of 1.7 million kilowatts. It is the largest single-capacity farm project under construction in the world. At the same time, it has also realized the world’s first shallow-sea typhoon-resistant floating wind turbine and dynamic cable system. Application demonstration. As the general contractor of submarine cable supply and construction EPC, CNKC Electric Group laid nearly 1,000km of 220kV and 35kV submarine cables for the project, and provided relevant electrical and mechanical accessories to ensure the smooth grid connection and operation of the project.

02 World-class factory soft joint technology innovation

03 Realize the innovative laying application of the world’s first typhoon-resistant floating wind turbine dynamic cable in shallow sea
Based on the dynamic cable system technology in the oil and gas field and years of engineering experience, CNKC Electric Group has innovatively developed a dual-waveform shallow-water anti-fatigue dynamic cable system for the challenges of large displacement, ultra-shallow water, and severe typhoon conditions of the Dawan floating wind power platform. The system adopts the advanced DP2 installation vessel to complete the dynamic cable installation and has been successfully put into use, which enables my country to achieve zero breakthrough in floating offshore wind power and lays a good foundation for the large-scale development of my country’s far-reaching offshore wind power.
