The zinc oxide arrester for power transmission line is an overvoltage protector, which is small in size and light in weight, and convenient in transportation. It is mainly used to protect various electrical equipment (transformer, switch, capacitor, wave trap, mutual inductor, generator, electric power, power cable, etc.) in railway electrification system, power system and communication system from atmospheric overvoltage, switching overvoltage, power frequency transient overvoltage, etc. It is the basis of power system insulation coordination.
6~220 kv AC transmission and transformation lines are connected to both ends of insulators (strings) in parallel with suspended organic composite jacket oxygen oxide arrester. It is a new type of arrester specially designed for suspension installation on transmission poles and towers to limit line lightning overvoltage, improve line lightning withstand level, and reduce the tripping rate caused by lightning failure of the system.
